Lama Tours & Education, The Peru Specialist
Welcome to the web-site of LTAE, The Peru Specialist.
The dutch owned LTAE is founded on respect for and curiosity
about the many different customs and cultures in Peru. For more
then 7 years LTAE is successfully organizing tours through Peru.
The last few years we have established a network of more than
500 contacts in Peru. LTAE has 4 own service points in Lima,
Pisco, Arequipa and Cusco. From Lima the individual traveller
is guided and the group tours are coordinated. We can be of service
from the most northern town of Tumbes, to almost 2,600 km more
south, in the town of Tacna. Would you like to go to Iquitos
and take a boat to admire pink dolphins on the Amazon? Would
you like a horseback riding vacation in the Sacred Valley of
the Incas? A week to enjoy the nature in the Manu Biosphere Reserve?
Or would you like to do our standard roundtrip with its diversity
of optionals?
You can ask us anything, after all we are The
Peru Specialist.
Who is The Peruspecialist
May I introduce myself. I am Peter Kuijt the
man behind Llama Tours, The Peruspecialist. I was born in Den
Haag and after ending my university degree I started working
in construction and started to work out my own companies in Holland.
At the age of 40 I went to Peru in the year 1998 and started
a tourism agency over there.
Business grew up very quickly and now we are organizing round
trips for different travel agencies al over the world. Main target
of The Peruspecialist is not only show you the Peruvian sight
seeing and culture but we want to let you taste it as well.
The Peruspecialist is well know by individual travellers and
as tour operator the Peruspecialist is working for his contacts
in Great Britain, Holland, Belgium Austria Italy Slovenia and
the United States.
Issue of The Peru Specialist is to make
travelling as easy and as save as possible.
Easy
by organising al accommodations, excursions, necessary transport
tickets and transfers in out. When the traveller have to do
it himself he will loose a lot of valuable time during his vacation
and probably he pays more money in total as well.
We make travelling more safe as well. With the head office
in Lima the traveller is always assured of a 24 hour emergency
service. English speaking employees will do as much they can
to help or to find the best solution for an unexpected problem.
As The Peruspecialist we know from our 7 year experience in
organizing trips what Peru can offer to you. We be sure that
you will enjoy your tailor made program and we are sure that
you will agree at the end of it that you used all the time you
joined with us in a very effective way.
About Peru
Peru has developed a full-grown tourist industry. Who
hasn't heard of the mysterious Nazca lines? Which explanation
should you believe? Did the pre-Incas make the Nazca lines or
were the lines made by aliens? Who has not heard of Machu Picchu,
the sacred city of the Incas, hidden in the cloud forest of the
Sacred Valley. Who hasn't heard about the pink dolphins near Iquitos
or of the nature reserves of Manu and Puerto Maldonado? Who hasn't
heard of the Colca Canyon and Cruz del Condor, where you can find
plenty of the rare condors? We could continue mentioning more
places worth visiting in Peru, but we would like to finish this
paragraph with the words: All of which you have heard, we can
show you.
The climate in Peru. Peru can be divided in three regions:
the dry desert (10 mm of rain each year), the humid and hot Amazon
and the cold Andes. Should you visit places at an altitude of
more than 2,500 meters above sea level (like Chivay, Puno and
Cusco), then you'd better take a warm sweater and warm socks to
keep you warm on the cold nights. Furthermore there are to seasons:
the rainy season and the dry season. The rainy season (the summer
in Peru) is from January to March and the dry season is from June
to September.
