Introduction Ica

40 km south of Pisco you can find the city of Ica with its 160,000 inhabitants. The economy of Ica is mainly based on the production of wine and cotton. Ica has got a sunny climate with temperatures generally above 25°C. In the roundtrip we have included the Maria Reiche museum and the oasis of Huacachina.

Museum of Doctor Cabrera

In the museum of doctor Cabrera you can see the mysterious stones of Ica. On these stones figures are etched and according to the doctor they were made by a previous civilisation. Scientists however don't recognise the scientific value of the stones. For a tourist with an interest in the esoteric, the museum if definitively worth visiting.

You can visit the museum on your own easily if you speak Spanish (the doctor only speaks some English). If you do not speak Spanish, please let us now if you want to visit the museum, so we can arrange something.
