Introduction Pisco

Pisco is a small fishing town 260 km (3.5 hours driving) from Lima. During the colonial times, Pisco was the main exporter of the national drink of Peru: The Pisco.

Just as in Lima, the air in Pisco is very humid. In the morning it is generally cloudy but in the afternoon the sun will shine and the timerature can rise to 22°C. We have included an excursion to the Ballestas islands in our standard roundtrip.

The day of arrival is perfect for trying its several small café's and excellent fish-restaurants.

Early the next day we will go to the Ballestas Isles by boat. The Ballestas Isles is a nature reserve where we will encounter a wide variety of animals (sea lions, Humboldt penguins and several types of sea birds).
