Introduction Tumbes

Tumbes was the first city visited by Francisco Pizarro in 1528. Tumbes is located at about 8 hours driving from Piura and has 50,000 inhabitants. Apart from museums dedicated to the history of Pizarro, Tumbes generally is used as a route to or from Equador.
